Yesterday's Super Bowl was awesome (for the Saints), but how did you think the ads fared?

Can you believe there were a total of 32 in-game ad breaks featuring 116 commercials?

Unsurprisingly, the dominant advertiser was Anheuser Busch who ran 8 spots, followed by Doritos with 4.

As usual, advertisers used humor as a way to get Super Bowl viewers to remember their commercials - the Bud Light commercials ensured there were laughs aplenty.

While there were no wardrobe malfunctions this year, there was controversy surrounding a couple of the ads - Focus On The Family's pro-life commercial aired during the first commercial break and the video game, Dante's Inferno, (featuring the tagline "Go To Hell") both caused a stir.

This Thursday there is going to be a really interesting panel discussion about the Super Bowl commercials at AMA OKC.  A hand-picked panel of advertisers will be providing their take on this year's successes and failures.  Make sure you hop over to AMOKC's website and register.

In the meantime, let us know which commercials rocked your world and which ones didn't.

It was great to see a game that was better than the ads this year. Afterall, that's WHY we have the Super Bowl!

However, being a professional marketer, I am always interested to see what the "big boy brands" will do to one-up their competition. For me, this year was a let-down, but there were still some good, creative ideas.

My favorite ad happens to be the one you show a still shot of: Betty White in the Snicker's ad. Great humor, it takes a few seconds of thinking for the viewer to understand what is happening and the message is then loud and clear. Great Job.

I also really liked the Audi "Green Police" ad. There is always a risk when the ad is really good and the product is not introduced until the end, but I think on this one, they got the mix just right. Very entertaining stuff!

I'm looking forward to the AMA meeting this week to hear what some of the 'experts' have to say about the ads... And perhaps bring a local tie-in to some of them. When is that again? Oh, yeah...

You know, I wasn't a big fan of the Snickers ad with Betty White...but I LOVED the Flo TV Internet Memes ad.
Green Police was a good ad, but the ad for the Dodge Charger won it in terms of car commercials.
I'm really looking forwards to the discussion on Thursday. I'd love to know what the panel thinks of this years commercials.
